Prof. John William Sheffield

As background, I joined Purdue University in January 2015 with a broad base of experience in energy technologies. I served as one of the founding associate directors at the United Nations Industrial Development Organization - International Centre for Hydrogen Energy Technologies (UNIDO-ICHET) during their first two years of operation in 2005-2006. For more than forty-five years, I have served as an editor of the International Journal of Hydrogen Energy. I served as the President of the International Association for Hydrogen Energy from 2019 - 2024, having previously served as the Executive Vice President. In April 2022, I was selected for the 2022 Outstanding Leadership in Globalization Award from Purdue University. In 2023, I was appointed as a 2023 Energy Scholar at the Institute for Resilient Environmental and Energy Systems at Oklahoma University.
